RC Boost
A Vintage Boost Pedal
Got a question about this product? Ask us!
The SonicTone RC Boost pedal is a boost pedal based on a circuit that began life back in the 60's, used to brighten up darker tube amps. At the same time, it was a signal booster, which also translated into something that hit the front of the amp a little harder, producing favorable overdrive and harmonics. This pedal derives its name from the Royal Crown amp because the pedal's circuit was popular in pairing with the circuit in that amp. Guitarists really liked what this pedal did and added it to their rig as a secret weapon. Being a circuit made for "treble-boosting," the original stock circuit is bright, which will work as intended for darker amps. A "Phat" switch has been added which increases the low-end and will help the pedal work with modern tube amps that may already be bright on their own.
Turning the volume control to noon or higher starts to introduce gain and harmonics. Past 3 o'clock, it'll bring the heat.

I always wanted one of these but every one I had or tried was to much brightness for my taste and with the guitars I have with different tones was difficult to dial in. Enter the Phat switch on the RC Boost, I can now have both worlds of brightening up treble booster to a thick sounds on my single coils.
