Let's go back to the beginning. The circuit that influenced this amp is so incredibly important to the beginnings of so many early styles of American popular music. The 1940's saw the arrival of a number of mass produced guitar amplifiers to help guitarists keep up with the increasing volume of their bands as they were getting louder and bigger. When the 1950's came around, the music scene was wildly varied from country, to blues, to rockabilly, to rhythm & blues - to this newer, back-beat driven rock n roll that was exploding on the scene.

The circuit in the SonicTone Delta Jr. does it all, and then some. And it's such a simple circuit, it's truly amazing that it was able to be used in such a wide variety of musical styles. While the Delta Jr. is a true, no frills amplifier, it does take take the opportunity to provide some modern features, such as 3-band EQ and a switchable gain stage for a 2-channel experience. However, for those that yearn for a truly classic tweed tone, setting the hot/cool switch to "hot" will take you back in time to that simple early break-up so many people desire. And of course, an amp like this is a great pedal platform.

Through and through, the SonicTone Delta Jr. is a classic American amplifier. It's a straightforward amp that is timeless and can deliver a wide range of tones.

Recommended Speaker Pairing: Celestion 25-watt Greenback for accentuated overdrive, or an Alnico Blue for a more vintage, mellow sound.
