By the mid-60's, there seemed to be room for "improvements" in the British amp market. Those improvements were realized in the unique circuit found in the SonicTone Highway amp. It was thought that the circuit design and build quality in the available amps on the market could be better. The result was this amp's circuit, which delivered a big punchy tone with lots of headroom, all built to a military grade standards. It would go on to power some of the preeminent rock groups of the late 60's and early 70's.

The amp stays true to the original, but adds modern features like an FX loop and channel switching. The 2 channels are in parallel like the original circuit, but instead of having a set of 4 inputs to jumper together, there's only one input and the channels are controlled via the footswitch or front panel switches. This allows you to use any combination of them blended together. Like the original circuit, channel 1 is voiced darker and channel 2 is voiced brighter, and it allows you to dial in the perfect mix between the two to get the tone you want. Also, with the addition of the preamp level control, there is the option to run the amp big and clean - or - overdriven with a lot of crunch. For big and clean, keep the preamp low and turn the master up. For overdriven crunch, keep the master low and turn the preamp up. Use them together to find the "sweet spot."

The SonicTone Highway truly is a unique, punchy sounding amp that provides a wide range of tones to suit any need - from a big clean sound to a tight overdrive.
